International Energy Charter Forum to be held in Baku in this week

On October 24, the International Energy Charter Forum on the theme of “Enabling Energy Transformation through Technology and Policy Innovations” will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan told APA.

Discussions in the framework of issues such as development of renewable energy and role of technologies, use of renewable energy resources and regulator mechanisms, promotion of energy efficiency – share of best experiences, and equipment security at regional level will be held in the forum, which to consist of 4 sessions.

About 200 people including high-ranking state officials from 13 states - Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Austria, China, Greece, Albania, Croatia, Spain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burundi, and Yemen, 42 international organization, local and foreign energy companies, representatives of state bodies, as well as representatives from Embassies of foreign countries to Azerbaijan, experts, and media are expected to attend the forum.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov and General Secretary of the Energy Charter have been considered to deliver a speech in opening of the forum.
