Azerbaijan gets decline in crude oil and gas production

In 2016, Azerbaijan produced AZN 21.1 billion-products in the mining sector of industry, down 0.7% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the crude oil production made up 41 million tonnes, marketable gas production 18.7 bcm.

In 2016, 41,029,500 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) were produced in the country, down 1.5% compared to the four months of previous year. Consequently, the finished product made 410,200 tonnes. Of this, 40,977,500 tonnes made up marketable oil, which is 1.4% lower than previous year.

During the reporting period, 29,331,300 cubic meters of gas were produced in the country, down 0.6% from 2015. Finished product stood at 1,167,000 cubic meters.

Of this, 18,714,700 cubic meters are marketable gas, down 3.9% compared to 2015
