Azerbaijan increases gas transportation 11% this year

In January-May 2017, Azerbaijan’s main pipelines transported 17,478,800 tonnes of oil.

The State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics that 78.3% of the transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipelines and this pipeline transported 13,684,500 tonnes of oil.

During the reporting period, 2,685,500 tonnes of transit oil were transported via the BTC pipeline.

In the five months of 2017, the country’s main pipelines transported 9,778,500,000 cubic meters of gas, up 11.5% in annual comparison. 32.7% (3,197,100,000 cubic meters) of the transported gas was realized via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum—South Caucasus Pipeline.
