During the meeting they stressed long-term successful and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP. They discussed the issues relating to the development of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field after 2024. Foreign companies` interest in developing this field was emphasized. The development of the field will pave the way for continuation of multi-billion investments by foreign companies, additional large-scale oil production, and creation of new jobs in the future.
They also discussed progress of the Southern Gas Corridor project and work done under Shahdeniz-2 project, BP`s activities in Shafag-Asiman block and in Shallow Water Absheron Peninsula and prospects for BP’s role in developing Azerbaijani oil and gas industry.
