Construction works on Shahdeniz 2 in Georgia accelerated â€“ deputy minister

Baku. NizamiMammadzade – APA-Economics. Construction of compressor stations of Shahdeniz 2 in Georgia will be completed in 2019 and volume of gas pumped in the pipeline will gradually increase, Georgian Deputy Minister Mariam Valishvili told APA’s Georgian bureau.

According to her, the construction works are being accelerated: “We’ll fulfil our obligations timely and the volume of gas pumped in this pipeline after launch in 2019-2020 will increase”.

The deputy minister also spoke about the energy transport from Azerbaijan to Turkey through Georgia: “Azerbaijan has already been transporting energy to Turkey through Georgia for several months. Our cooperation with Azerbaijan and Turkey in this sphere is developing. I think we’ll expand our cooperation”.
