Head of press service of the OJSC Yahya Babanli told APA-Economics that the suspension in energy supply was eliminated at 2:20 p.m.

Note that energy supply was suspended due to by suspension of gas supply to the two power stations of Azerenergy OJSC.

The explosion occurred on Tuesday on one of the main gas pipelines coming out of the Sangachal terminal in Azerbaijan, the country’s state oil company SOCAR told APA-Economics.

The explosion resulted in a fire, no one was injured as a result of the accident, SOCAR said.

According to information, natural gas supply to the system has already been suspended, the line is localized and preparations are underway for the beginning of repair work.

Firefighters immediately arrived at the site to extinguish the fire, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.

The Crisis Management Center received information about the explosion on two gas pipelines with diameter of 1000-1200mm in Garadagh district, which resulted in a fire, said the ministry.

No one was injured as a result of the accident.

Efforts are underway to extinguish the fire, there is no danger to residential areas nearby, the ministry stated.
