Oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev’s family topped the list with $9.91 billion shared between five family members, including new business partners, Said Gutseriev and Bilan Uzhakhov, who are his son and nephew, Forbes said on Wednesday.

Said, with an estimated wealth of $770 million, and Bilan Uzhakhov, with $40 million, received 10% each in companies owning stakes of Safmar in new assets, M.Video and Eldorado.

Gutseriev’s Safmar Group has in recent months purchased household goods store Eldorado and a majority stake in consumer electronics retailer M.video, with plans to merge the two chains.

The Rotenberg family ranked second with a $4.2 billion wealth earned on fulfillment of orders by Gazprom and state entities.

The Ananyev brothers chairing the board of directors of Promsvyazbank were the third with $2.7 billion. The family of former President of the Tatarstan Republic Mintimer Shaimiyev ranked fourth with $2.215.

The Forbes based its estimate on appraisal of all assets owned by family members including personal assets. The rating does not include families which earned the bulk of their wealth on state service, it said.
