The president made remarks on September 14 at the signing ceremony of contract for extension of Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) on development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of oil and gas fields by 2050.
Head of the state noted that Sangachal is the largest oil and gas terminal in the world: “Azerbaijan is building oil platforms. These are benefits from the Contract of the Century. State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan is a great factor for us. Decline in oil price could not make us give up our goal. We are increasing our currency reserves. Shahdeniz, the Southern Gas Corridor projects will increase our currency reserves more”.
The head of state said that Azerbaijani oil workers had merits for achievement of these successes and congratulated them on upcoming professional holiday.
