Launch of Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will turn Italy’s Apulia region into a hub in terms of development of green economy and reduction of carbon gas in the atmosphere, Managing Director of Snam Marco Alverà said.
According to him, the project is being realized on the basis of Europe’s fundamental values. ‘Therefore, realization of the project is of great importance’, he said.
He added that transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe will cause increase in competition and result in reduction of tariffs.
‘Along with this, we’ll achieve diversification of our energy sources’, he stressed.
Alvera is sure that TAP will play an important role in gas supply of Italy.
