Baku - APA-Economics. Tenaris, a multinational manufacturer and supplier of seamless and welded steel pipe products and provider of pipe handling, stocking, and distribution services to the oil and gas, energy, and mechanical industries, has launched a plant in free economic zone in the territory of Kazakhstan’s Aktau port. The production capacity makes up 45,000 tonnes.
The company has already signed contracts with TengizChevrOil and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating.
The company may export its products to Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkmenistan.
$40 million was invested in construction of the plant.
