Calendar of Ramadan holiday disclosed - SCHEDULE

The calendar of the Ramadan holiday has been disclosed, the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) told APA.

The times of namaz (pray) of Ramadan month, imsak (morning fast breaking) and iftar (evening fast breaking) times have been reflected in the calendar.

According to the calendar, Ahya nights (the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, one of which is Laylatul Qadr - the Night of Power, the night when the Quran was first sent down to the heaven of the world and also the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the prophet Muhammad) coincide with May 12, May 14, May 16 and May 20.

The 1st day of Shavval month (May 24) is the Fitr (Ramadan) holiday ("Festival of Breaking the Fast").

Note that the Ramadan holiday in Azerbaijan will start on April 25.
