“Shiites and Sunnis in Azerbaijan live in conditions of friendship and equality. They live not as a representative of two different sects, but as representatives of a single sect”, said the chairman of the Department for Dialogue with Islam of the Inter-Religious Council of the Pope of the Vatican, Khaled Akash, speaking at the II plenary meeting as part of the II Baku summit of world religious leaders.
“I urge other states to take an example from Azerbaijan. This is a very effective method, ”he said.
H. Akash noted that representatives of other religions live peacefully in Azerbaijan.
