Baku hosts int’l conference on Islamic solidarity

An international conference, entitled “Islamic solidarity: the harmony of religious and cultural diversity”, kicked off in Baku April 12.

 

The event was co-organized by the Caucasian Muslims Office, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre, and the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, APA reported.

 

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli, Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova,  Azerbaijan's state adviser on Multinational, Multicultural and Religious Affairs Kamal Abdulla, Director General of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (IRCICA) Halit Eren, Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on public associations and religious organizations Siyavush Novruzov, leaders of various religious communities in Azerbaijan and some ambassadors of foreign countries to Azerbaijan are taking part in the conference.
