Azerbaijani president allocates financial aid to religious organizations

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to provide financial assistance to religious organizations operating in the country.

Under the order, with the purpose of providing financial aid to religious organizations in Azerbaijan, one million manats were allocated to the Caucasian Muslims Office from the president’s reserve fund envisaged in the state budget for 2018, APA reports.

Moreover, 250,000 manats were allocated to the religious organization of the Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church, 250,000 manats to the Religious Community of the Mountain Jews of Baku, 100,000 manats to the Religious Community of European Jews of Baku, 100,000 manats to the Catholic Church’s Apostolic Prefecture in Azerbaijan, and 100,000 manats to the Albanian-Udi Christian Religious Community of Azerbaijan.
