Executive Director: "New air lines from China to Azerbaijan to be opened in 2020"

"In order to ensure the flow of Chinese tourists to Azerbaijan, some works should be implemented", said Florian Sengstschmid, Chief Executive Officer of Azerbaijan Tourism Board during his speech at II General Assembly of the Azerbaijan Hotel Association, APA reports.

He said new air lines from China to Azerbaijan would be opened in 2020:

"And this measure will help us to increase the volume of the tourism potential. At the same time, the signing of new contracts has been envisaged in order to show Azerbaijan as a well-proved destination to Chinese tourists. I would like to state based on my own work experience that I have conducted such a work before for signing a similar contract between Austria and China. We obtained a very positive outcome, and the number of tourists arriving in Austria from China considerably increased".
