The famous Soviet and Russian writer Vladislav Krapivin died in the Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Hospital after being re-hospitalized after treatment for pneumonia, APA reports citing TASS.
The writer’s death was announced by his daughter-in-law, the commander of the youth detachment “Caravel” Larisa Krapivina. “He got worse, they took him to the intensive care unit at night – that’s all,” she said.
Vladislav Krapivin was sent for outpatient treatment on August 7, he was admitted to the clinic with a diagnosis of pneumonia in mid-July. The coronavirus test showed a negative result, but after discharge the writer’s condition worsened significantly.
