The member of the Azerbaijani National Paralympics Powerlifting Team Parvin Mammadov has won a gold medal in the World Cup in the Hungarian city of Eger, ONA reports citing National Paralympics Committee.
According to the information, a national athlete recorded the best result in 49 kg weight category. He lifted 140 kg and rose to the first place in his weight category.
The second place is held by Polish athlete Slavomir Symanski who lifted 128 kg. Olaymi Maysar from Saudi Arabia took third place with 125 kg.
This victory increased Parvin Mammadov’s chances to participate at the Tokyo – 2020 Summer Paralympics Games.
