Baku City Circuit (BCC) is delighted to announce the launch of Baku City Sounds – powered by Azerbaijan Airlines & Silk Way Group - the circuit’s Official After-Party, which will see a series of world class DJ’s entertain fans long into the night across the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2019 weekend, ONA reports.

Taking place in the Elektra Events Hall – located right beside the Crystal Hall - the official after party of the fastest street circuit in motorsport will see the likes of GeeGun and Mahmut Orhan, Robin Schulz, as well as Lost Frequencies, perform their incredible sets on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April respectively. In addition, DJ Mendoza will also be hitting the decks as the venue’s resident DJ every night across the Grand Prix weekend.

Doors will open at 11 pm each night and fans will be required to purchase a separate ticket to enter the Elektra Events Hall after parties - even if they are already attending the F1 race weekend. Tickets for each night are 55AZN (approx. US $30) and can be bought via www.iticket.az or at sales points located across the city.

GeeGun will get the first after party of the F1 weekend started on Friday 26th April. One of the most popular Russian pop-hip-hop artists performing today and multiple Russian Music Awards winner, he recently collected the Golden Gramophone & Song of the Year gongs.

In May 2015, GeeGun released his third album "Your Choice" which included his hits "Nothing to Love with" and "Time to Weight Loss".

His fourth album “DZHIGA” followed in May 2016, which incuded his two hit records - “Melody” (feat. Jah Khalib) and “Till My Last Breath” (feat. Basta).

In April 2017, GeeGun released his single “Days and Nights”, which became a huge hit online, reaching the top of the national streaming charts. This paved the way for his next album, also named “Days and Nights”, which reached platinum status within a month. In September 2017, GeeGun recorded the hit “More Than Life” and produced the single’s video alongside his wife Oksana Samoilova.

In February 2018, he directed a video based on the hit “DNA” performed with hip-hop performer Artem Kacher. Within just a week the record gathered more than 10 million views and topped the Apple Music, iTunes BOOM and VK charts as well as all national charts.

Most recently in 2018, GeeGun won the Muz-TV 2018 Transformation Award for Best Hip-Hop Project.

He will be followed on Friday by the one and only Mahmut Orhan. His fresh combination of soulful deep house, groovy indie dance, and worldly elements from his own cultural experiences have landed him solidly amongst today’s most promising dance music artists. With the 2016 release of his hit track ‘Feel’ Orhan amassed 350 million views & his 2018 release ‘6 Days’ gained 150 million combined streams on YouTube and Spotify; received top-20 honors in both iTunes’ Dance and Global in close to two dozen countries; reached the #1 track in iTunes’ Dance and Main Charts in 11 countries and 5 territories respectively; and rose to #25 Worldwide on Shazam.

Saturday 27th April sees Robin Schulz bring his world-renowned skills to the Elektra Hall stage. The German native has steadily made his way from a local insider to the nation’s “next big thing” and eventually to an internationally acclaimed megastar. At only 30 years of age, the producer and DJ has already established himself as the most successful German artist of the past two decades. He began playing smaller clubs as a DJ somewhere in rural Lower Saxony – his beloved home. Today, he knows the entire world: Las Vegas, New York, Tokyo.

In 2014, his internationally gold- and platinum-certified follow-up single “Prayer In C (feat. Lilly Wood & The Prick)” went straight to #1 on iTunes in 40 countries and topped the national singles charts in 17 countries. In total, the megahit conquered the iTunes charts in 92 countries and went top 25 in 68 countries. And that was just the beginning, as Schulz was the first-ever German artist to reach #1 of the global Shazam charts. Subsequently “Prayer In C” was officially named the “Summer Hit of 2014”. By now, “Prayer In C” is the most successful international hit of all times by any German artist. His current album “SUGAR“ is gold-certified in Germany and was yet another international smash hit, spawning several platinum-certified singles such as “Headlights (feat. Ilsey), “Sugar (feat. Francesco Yates)” and “Heatwave (feat. Akon)”. Today, Robin Schulz has sold a total of 7 million copies of his first two albums and various singles and generated over 2.5 billion streams.

The final afterparty of the weekend will be owned and operated by none other than Felix De Laet, better known by his moniker Lost Frequencies. In recent years the superstar DJ has soared to success in the international music industry on many levels. Releasing his global smash hit ‘Are You With Me’ back in 2014 and quickly cementing himself as a name to watch, the track rapidly ascended by hitting multi-platinum status and taking the #1 spot in 18 countries. Lost Frequencies then firmly established himself as one of the strongest, fastest rising talents with his debut entry into the 2017 DJ MAG poll at #26, the highest new entry of any artist that year, before he then surpassed this previous achievement by climbing up to #17 in 2018.

Solidifying himself further as a trailblazer in the scene, in 2018 Lost Frequencies amassed over 1 billion streams and ripped up the rule book on his tropical-infused official remixes on Major Lazer, Justin Bieber & MØ’s ‘Cold Water’, Miley Cyrus’s ‘Malibu’ and LSD Labrinth / Diplo / Sia's 'Thunderclouds', showing that his unique electronic style can lend itself to multi-dimensional pop and still deliver an inimitable sound as the hits just keep on coming.

BCC’s Head of Commercial, Bulent Ozerdim, was thrilled to launch the Baku City Sounds After Party: “We are thrilled to launch the Baku City Sounds After-Parties today as part of our jam-packed F1 weekend entertainment offering. With some of the most exciting and innovative performers in dance music today performing in the Elektra Hall, the party will literally go all night here in Baku during the race weekend! My message to everyone is clear: make sure you get your Baku City Sound tickets while you still can, make the short leap across to the Elektra Hall and come party with us here in Baku this April 26th – 28th!”
