The price of silver continued to rise on Wednesday, surging more than 2%, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Seen as a hedge versus inflation, the metal was up by near 3% over the last week, and by more than 6% in the past 30 days.
Silver flew 2.08% to $23.81 per ounce at 8:10 am ET, while gold went up by 0.23% to sell for $1,819.82 per ounce at the same time. A minute later, platinum jumped 2.45% to go for $1,003.68 an ounce, and palladium added 1.3% to sell for $1,927.45 per ounce.
