The U.S. Dow Jones stock index rose by 2.84% to 24,202.60 points, S&P 500 increased by 2.72% to 2,658.55 points and NASDAQ surged by 3.26% to 7,220.54 points.
In the European stock markets, FTSE 100 index decreased by 0.48% to 6,888.69 points, while Germany’s DAX fell by 0.83% to 11,787.26, and French CAC 40 raised by 0.57% to 5,066.28, APA-Economics reported.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold prices descended $0.40 to $1,360.50 an ounce and silver prices went up $0.78 to $16.76.
