An appeal sent to Putin on naming one of Moscow metro stations in honor of Hazi Aslanov

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin was appealed for naming a street in honor of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov, Chairman of Permanent Commission on Military-civilian relations by the Military Families Union and Russian President Mariya Bolshakova told APA’s Moscow correspondent.

According to her, the initiative of naming a street in Russia’s capital in honor of Hazi Aslanov has been put forward by Chairman of Azerbaijanis National Cultural Autonomy on Moscow’s Western Circle, Assistant to Deputy in State Duma Ali Kazimov.

“It is very good and important initiative. Because Hazi Aslanov is a hero of not only Azerbaijan but also Russia. His courage and heroism during the Great Patriotic War is still remembered with pleasure. Therefore, we consider that perpetuation of the memory of Hazi Aslanov is important. Moreover,the appeal notes to give the name of Hazi Aslanov to secondary school and alley.,” he stated.

Ali Kazimov told APA that the Russian president Vladimir Putin has been appealed on naming after Hazi Aslanov to one of the metro stations being newly constructed in Moscow on the occasion of 75th anniversary of victory in the Second World War: “We will do our utmost for perpetuation of the memory of Hazi Aslanov in Moscow on the eve of 75th anniversary of the victory.”
