Coronavirus death toll in Armenia approaches 400 - UPDATED

As of June 25 in the morning, 22,488 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Armenia, APA reports citing Aysor.

The number of infected in one day has grown by 771, National Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Thursday.

According to it, 11,335 (+538) people have recovered, currently 10,404 (+221) are getting treatment.

The total death toll reached 397 (+11), other 131 (+1) patients died from other diseases.

In a day 12 people have died.



Armenia's Health minister Arsen Torosyan said 771 new cases have been recorded in a past day, 2,336 tests were made, APA reports citing Aysor.

Torosyan stressed the situation continues to be tensed.

“The situation with hospitalization is normal, starting from Sunday we have 51 citizens that need to be transported to the hospital,” he said.

The minister said in all intensive care units they have few free beds.

“They are being free and get occupied very quickly,” he said.

Torosyan stressed that 502 people are in grave condition and 113 in extremely grave.
