Criminal case  launched against 18 people carrying weapons from Karabakh to Armenia

National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) has discovered dozens of facts related to illegal possession of weapons and explosives seized from the war in Nagorno-Karabakh from September 27 to December 24, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

The National Security Service has released information about this.

Totally, 4 machine guns, anti-tank grenades with optical sight, 12 AK-74, AKM and AKS-74U submachine guns, 14 firearms with high-precision optical sight, 9 boxes of 5.45 mm automatic cartridges, 5 boxes of 7.62 mm cartridges, 2 168 units 7.62, 9.18 and 5.45 mm submachine gun cartridges, 27 powerful explosives, 4 wicks for grenades, 14 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades have been seized by NSS operators.

During searches, corps of anti-tank grenade, TNT cubes, electrical explosive weapons, pistols, bayonet knives, and many other military equipment were taken.

Сriminal cases have been initiated regarding 18 persons in total, there are detained and imprisoned persons among them.

Ammunition has been revealed to be obtained from different regions of Nagorno-Karabakh and taken to Armenia during investigation.

National Security Service called on citizens to hand over ammunition and military products, obtained by illegal means, to the law-enforcement bodies voluntarily.
