Gasoline prices rising in January in Russia

Russia’s average consumer gasoline prices added 0.13% in weekly terms and totaled 46.35 rubles ($0.61) rubles per liter. Diesel fuel prices showed an uptick by 5 kopecks to 48.94 rubles ($0.64) per liter, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Thursday, APA reports citing TASS.

Prices rose by 0.14% to 43.7 rubles ($0.58) a liter for regular (92 Octane), by 0.12% to 47.45 rubles ($0.62) for premium (95 Octane), and by 0.1% to 54.11 rubles ($0.71) per liter of 98 Octane gasoline during the reporting week from January 18 to 25.

The gasoline price hike was noted in sixty four capitals of constituencies, with the growth by 4.3% reported in Kyzyl, 2% in Blagoveshchensk and 1.6% in Khanty-Mansiysk. Prices dropped by 0.2% in Yaroslavl.

Consumer prices for the motor gasoline had an uptick by 0.1% in Moscow and in St. Petersburg over the last week, Rosstat said.
