Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has said he has been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, APA reports citing TASS.

"I was vaccinated two months ago with one of Russian vaccines," Medvedev told Russian media in an interview. He explained he did not disclose the name of the vaccine so as not create an impression one vaccine is better than the others.

"Vaccination is always a very personal affair. It takes blood tests and requires the understanding of the immunity status of your body (which depends on age, regrettably, and on gender - as is known, men have greater problems with getting through the coronavirus infection - and on a number of other factors)," Medvedev said. "All of our vaccines are effective and work well, but medics’ advice is crucial in selecting a particular one. Vaccination is necessary anyway."
