Peskov: Russians first to get domestic vaccines

Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stressed on Wednesday Russian citizens would be the first ones to receive vaccines against coronavirus produced in the country as the wellbeing of the nation remained the government's "top priority.", APA reports citing Teletrader.

"As for the needs of potential consumers of this vaccine abroad, they will be met mainly through the production chains the RDIF [Russian Direct Investment Fund] is now building with foreign partners," he added.

Russian authorities recently stated they were planning to produce 15 million jabs by spring next year. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced the mass vaccination against COVID-19 in the country would begin in early 2021.
