The preliminary results of the post-registration trials of Russia's EpiVacCorona vaccine against the coronavirus will be released at the end of the month, all of the volunteers have already been inoculated, and only 25 percent of them have received placebos, Rinat Maksyutov, the director of the Vector research centre that developed the vaccine, said in an interview, APA reports citing Sputnik.
"At the end of April, the preliminary results will be summed up for all eight centres that held the post-registration trials. It is too early to say anything about specific figures until that time", Maksyutov said.
According to Maksyutov, 3,000 volunteers are taking part in the trials, 75 percent of them have been inoculated with the vaccine, while 25 percent have received placebos. The condition of the volunteers will be monitored over 180 days, he added.
