Protest rallies held in Armenia demanding resignation of Pashinyan

Protest rallies have been held in Armenia demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, APA reports citing Armenian mass media.

Rallies are continued both in Yerevan and in different regions today.

Closing Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway, protestors called N. Pashinyan traitor and chanted slogans “Armenia without Nikol”.

Protestors blocking the Yerevan-Sevan road were taken to a police station for disobeying police demands to open the road.

Besides regions, protestors held rallies in Yerevan, too. Rally held by the opposition under the name of “Dignity march”, protestors gathered in France square and chanted the slogans “Nikol is traitor” and “Armenia without Nikol”. Protestors clash with police occurred. A spokesman for the Yerevan police service said 37 people had been detained

It was noted that during the clash one protestor and a policeman were injured. The injured were taken to hospital.

THE OPERATION IS BEING PERFORMED
