Putin cancels Victory Parade

The Victory Parade dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the World War II has been cancelled, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports citing the statement voiced by the Russian president Vladimir Putin at the meeting of the Security Council.

Putin said the Victory Parade has been postponed for indefinite period in connection with the threat of spread of the coronavirus infection.

He noted that the Victory Parade and the Immortal Regiment memorial march will be held during 2020.

Earlier, the parade was scheduled for May 9.
