Russia confirmed 7,889 new coronavirus infections Saturday, bringing the country’s official number of cases to 576,952, APA reports citing the Moscow Times.
The country's one-day increases in new cases have fallen to their lowest levels since May 1.
Over the past 24 hours 161 people have died, bringing the total toll to 8,002 — a rate considerably lower than in many other countries hit hard by the pandemic.
A total of 10,186 people recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 334,592.
