Russia says its COVID-19 vaccine creates immunity

Trials have shown the the COVID-19 vaccine being developed by the Russian Defense Ministry and the Gamalei National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology creates immunity, the Defense Ministry announced on Friday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The vaccine trial is set to end on July 15.

"Volunteers [...] are forming an immune response after injections of the vaccine against the coronavirus," the ministy stressed.

A group of volunteers has been under constant observation at the Burdenko Military Hospital and the Defense Ministry added they all feel well after getting initial doses of the vaccine. The volunteers will receive boosters next week.
