Russian MFA: Strategic partnership with Azerbaijan developed last year

Strategic partnership has consistently developed with Azerbaijan in 2020, according to the review of the Russian Foreign Ministry's foreign policy activities for 2020, APA’s local bureau reports.

It is noted that active contacts have continued at the highest levels through government and parliament lines: “The stable dynamics of trade and economic cooperation between two countries has been maintained. Trade turnover has made up 2,8 bln dollars decreasing by 8,9% in comparison to 2019.

An Action Plan for the development of key areas of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation until 2024 - six "road maps" in trade, tourism, transport infrastructure and high-tech industries has been implemented.

We have conducted a close cooperation with Azerbaijan on the problems of coronavirus, and supported in a fight against the pandemic. An issue to launch the joint production of Sputnik V has been considered” noted in the review disseminated by the Russian MFA.
