Supporters of the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev on Thursday handed over to the authorities six previously captured special forces soldiers, the headquarters of the former head of state told TASS, APA reports.
"The soilders were handed over to their colleagues who arrived in [the village] of Koi-Tash," a headquarters spokesman said.
According to him, during the retention in the house of the ex-president, all military personnel of the Alpha special forces received medical assistance. "We expected that they would come for the special forces in the morning, at least we agreed on this yesterday, but the authorities extended this process almost until the evening."
