The former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov, accused of corruption, is urgently hospitalized, said the press service of the State Committee of the National Security of the Kyrgyzstan Republic, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.

The diagnosis with which the former prime minister was hospitalized has not yet been reported. According to preliminary data, he is in the Department of Neurology of the National Hospital of Kyrgyzstan.

Isakov was detained in June 2018. He is suspected of involvement in corruption during the modernization of the Bishkek Thermal Power Plant by one of the Chinese companies. The investigation into the case of the former head of the Kyrgyz government is underway up till now.
