Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, APA reports citing official site of the Kremlin.

V.Putin noted that this holiday encourages goodness and mercy, caring for those who need help and support. The congratulation emphasizes that Muslim organizations make a worthy contribution to the development of inter-religious and inter-ethnic dialogue, and also consistently and strongly oppose manifestations of religious intolerance and extremism.

“I wish you peace, prosperity and all the best,” the presidential address says.

This year, on June 4, Muslims around the world begin to celebrate Ramadan Holiday - the holiday of breaking their fast. This day ends monthly post. In Moscow, thousands of believers gathered for the Morning Prayer at the Cathedral Mosque.
