The Russian side will take part in the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Taliban and the United States, said the presidential special envoy for Afghanistan, director of the second Asian department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov, APA reports citing Tellerreport.
“Yes, we will take part, in particular, I am from Russia, in this ceremony,” he said
According to him, the process of negotiations between the US and the Taliban has not yet been completed.
Kabulov noted that the US Special Representative for Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, should coordinate the document with the Taliban, after which he would go to Kabul to meet with the leadership of Afghanistan, and after that the date of signing the agreement could be set.
“We are waiting for accurate confirmations. Everything that I say, scooping from various sources of information so far, but as soon as the American special representative completes all the approvals and decides, he will contact me. We agreed so, ”he said.
The special representative of the President of Russian Federation added he did not know all details of the process.
