Russian MFA: Introduction of single visa in CIS could be a positive step

Introduction of a single visa system in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) could be a positive step, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to him, introduction of a single visa will not be possible soon: "Surely, possible introduction of a single visa in the Commonwealth of Independent States would have a positive impact on the development of business and tourism contacts of the CIS countries with other countries. However, one cannot ignore the fact that each of the CIS member states implements its visa and migration policies. The situation with the national legislation of our countries in this area is not always the same."
