The three journalists killed in the Central African Republic will be sent back home on August 4, said Andrei Konyakhin, the chief editor of Khodorkovsky's Investigations Management Center, APA reported citing RIA Novosti.

Three men killed in the Central African Republic have been confirmed as Russian journalists and their bodies will be repatriated in the coming days, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Rossiya 24 TV on Wednesday.

The Russian Embassy in the Central African Republic reported on Tuesday that three men had been found dead near the city of Sibut (300 kilometers north of the CAR’s capital city Bangui) on July 30. The Russian Foreign Ministry said later that the men had press cards featuring the names Kirill Radchenko, Alexander Rastorguyev and Orkhan Dzhemal.

The Russian Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the murder. The United Nations is ready to provide assistance to the CAR authorities in investigating the Russian journalists’ death.

Orkhan Dzhemal is the son of late theologian and politician Geydar Dzhemal.
