The process of withdrawal of the military equipment from Tbilisi garrison is over, APA reports. Last five trucks belonging to Tbilisi garrison have been sent to Armenia today. The main part of the military equipment of the garrison was sent to Armenia by four echelons and by two echelons to Russia through Azerbaijan. Besides, some car processions loaded with weapons and military equipment have been sent to 102nd division in Gyumru. The objects belonging to Tbilisi garrison will be delivered officially to Georgia on December 25. The garrison’s hospital, ammunition depot and garages have already been delivered to Georgia. A part of the personal staff of the Tbilisi garrison has already left Georgia. One more group of 40 composed of servicemen and their families will be sent to Gyumru tomorrow morning. 15 officers of Tbilisi garrison will continue their military service in Russian military base in Batumi. They will participate in the process of removal of Russian bases from Akhalkalak and Batumi.
The process of withdrawal of Russian troops completely from Georgia should finish till the end of 2008.
Withdrawal of Russian military bases from Georgia has started since May, 2006. 20 echelons (over 400 wagons carrying weapons, military supplies and other equipment) withdrawn from the military bases in Batumi and Akhalkalak were delivered to Russia through Azerbaijan during May-July and 4 echelons were delivered in late November and early December. /APA/
