PACE pre-election mission to visit Georgia

Ganira Pashayeva, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE and member of Azerbaijani Parliament, also joins the mission. The parliamentarian told APA, PACE co-rapporteurs on Georgia Matias Jorsi and Kastriat Islami, as well as member of the Estonian delegation to PACE Andreas Herkel had also been involved in the mission. Pashayeva said the mission aimed to value the pre-election situation in Georgia and to hold discussions on that. The members of the mission will meet with the heads of the CE, EU and OSCE Offices in Tbilisi, Speaker Nino Burjanadze, pro-government and opposition party fractions in the Parliament, Interior Minister, Chairman of Supreme Court, Chairman of the Central Election Commission and President Mikhail Saakashvili. They will attend round tables together with the NGO and media representatives. At the end of the visit PACE mission will hold press-conference.
