Konstantin Gabashvili: “There are all opportunities to hold democratic elections in Georgiaâ€

Baku. Tamara Grigorieva–APA. “All opportunities have been created in Georgia for the democratic elections. Despite that the situation in the country is normal and stable, various security measures have been takenâ€, Konstantin Gabashvili, Chairman of Georgian Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Relations told APA. He said some forces were planning the actions, but they couldn’t achieve their intentions. “It needs to have ability to loseâ€. Gabashvili said many international observers arrived in Georgia and media was provided with all conditions to work during the elections.
Representative of Ombudsman’s Office Koba Chopliani said keen struggle was going for every vote. “Our staff observed that they forced voters to take oath putting hand on Bible to vote for some candidatesâ€. New parliament with 150 seats will be elected on Wednesday in Georgia. 75 will be elected on majority and 75 on proportional system.
