Bishkek-APA. President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev has appointed his brother Janibek Bakiyev chief of the Republic State Security Service. APA reports that the president’s advisor Tokon Mamitov linked it with the fact that in some countries the head of state commissions the security to his close relatives.
Janibek Bakiyev had worked for security agencies for long years. He coordinated the activity of opposition forces in the south during the Tulip revolution in 2005. Janibek Bakiyev was deputy chief of State National Security Service in 2006 and was dismissed after a while.
