"Armenia is ready to deploy the mission of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in its territory," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during an interview with journalists, APA reports.

Pashinyan noted that his country is ready to deploy the CSTO mission in its territory, but it needs to be effective.

"Armenia is ready for this. Our desire and wish for the mission to be effective," Pashinyan emphasized.

According to him, taking this step is important for both Armenia, CSTO, and the region: "We continue our work in this direction."

Pashinyan also added that just as Armenia has obligations under CSTO, the CSTO has obligations under Armenia, such as ensuring security.

"The mission of the European Union (EU) and the CSTO cannot be compared. Our expectations from the CSTO mission should be higher than the EU mission," Pashinyan noted.

Note that recently the CSTO prepared a project to send a mission to the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
