"It would not be bad for Russia if 40,000 angry Karabakh Armenians came to Armenia and demanded a change of government. Karabakh Armenians should have a direct dialogue with Azerbaijan," said Vigen Khachaturyan, a member of the Parliament of Armenia. APA reports citing Armenian telegram channels.
By this statement, he admitted that only 40,000 people live in Karabakh, but not 120,000 as claimed by the Armenian authorities.
Notably, Vigen Khachaturyan is a member of the ruling Citizen Contract party.
