"In Volyn and Polissya's directions, the threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of Belarus remains. As part of the creation of the southern operational command, the size of the armed forces of Belarus is expected to grow up to 80,000 personnel," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook, APA reports.
In addition, the General Staff reports that the enemy has not taken active action in Siversky's direction, and no signs of the creation of strike groups were identified. The enemy continues to keep up to three battalion tactical groups in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions to restrain Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The Belarusian army currently comprises 45,000 personnel and occupies 52nd place in the Global Firepower Military Strength Rating of 142 armies across the world.
