Tigran Parvanyan, commander of the Armenian-Russian Joint Group of Forces, was dismissed at the proposal of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, APA reports citing TASS.

The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachatryan's decree on the commander's resignation was published on the website of the head of state on Tuesday.

"Taking as a basis the proposal of the Prime Minister, according to the article of the Constitution and the law "On Military Service and the status of a serviceman", to release Tigran Parvanyan from the post of commander of the United Group of Troops," the decree says.
