Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday that the confidence in the US dollar, euro, and the British pound, "in which you can make payments, store reserves, and nominate assets," has dropped, APA reports citing Tele Trader.

Appearing at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, Putin noted that Russia is currently working to move away from such "unreliable" and "compromising" currencies.

The head of Russia highlighted that statistics have shown that even the US allies are "gradually" turning away from the dollar and "reducing their dollar holdings."
