Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that a "large-scale war in cyberspace" has been launched against Russia, APA reports citing Tele Trader.

He stated the number of cyberattacks on Russian IT infrastructure "has been constantly growing in recent years," particularly since the start of Russia's conflict with Ukraine, when "challenges in this area have become even more acute and serious."

Putin claimed the attacks came from different countries and that they are "clearly coordinated actions of state structures." However, he stated the "cyber aggression" has failed, stating Russia has been planning and preparing for cyberattacks over the past years.
