Exchange of prisoners of war with Ukraine carried out at direction of Putin - Russian MoD

The exchange of prisoners of war with Ukraine was carried out according to formula 144 for 144 military personnel, APA reports citing Sputnik.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the exchange and the format of the exchange were certified on the direct instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Yesterday, June 29, 144 servicemen were exchanged for 144. It was organized and held on the direct orders of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," said Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, during his briefing.
