Heads of Border Service of CIS countries hold meeting

Heads of Border Service of CIS member states have discussed cooperation in protection of foreign borders of the Commonwealth in Kazakhstan's Turkistan city, according to press service of National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.

At the meeting of the Council of Border Troops Commanders, an agreement has been reached on the formation of a border security system and holding joint special operations.

The meeting has been attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Tajikistan.

It has been decided to hold the next meeting in the second half of 2022 in Tajikistan.
